Andrea
Buckvold received a B.A from The Colorado College,
and an M.F.A. in sculpture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Prior to founding abcde, Andrea experimented in her everyday
life, career and creative work. She has worked as a gallery
educator for the Liberace Museum and Guggenheim Las Vegas/Guggenheim
Hermitage, as a Evanston Art Center children's art teacher,
an adjunct professor at UW-Madison, CCSN, and at SIUC, a
cocktail waitress at the Green Mill, Chicago, a bartender
at Imperial Gardens, Madison, a printing assistant for Tandem
Press, and an office manager for 3-D Chicago and Carbondale
Community Arts.
Andrea
also works collaboratively with her husband, Chris Wildrick,
under the name Earl.
Raised
in Minneapolis, MN, she currently concentrates on Las Vegas
from her studio in Syracuse, NY, where she works "in
the manner of art, but at a leisurely pace."
